Owner of 'A Team' replica van arrested for sexual assault of minor

The owner of a replica black and red Chevrolet van from the 1980s television show “The A Team” has been arrested for alleged sexual crimes with a minor that took place in his van and now authorities are working to locate additional victims.  Edmundo Alarcon, 44, of Chino is accused of developing a relationship with a minor in November 2022 and, over the course of the relationship through July 2023, coercing the victim to engage in unlawful sexual acts, a news release from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department stated.  Edmundo Alarcon, 44, from Chino was arrested on Oct. 31, 2023, and charged with sexual assault of a minor under duress. Riverside County wildfire continues to burn out of control

Firefighters in Riverside County are struggling to make progress in their battle against a Santa Ana wind-fueled wildfire that has forced thousands of people from their homes.The Highland Fire in Aguanga, a sparsely populated area east of Temecula, had consumed at least 2,200 acres of dry brush and trees and three structures as of Tuesday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.Another six structures have been damaged.The fire erupted just after noon on Monday near Highlands and Aguanga Ranchos roads and spread rapidly in the hot and dry desert winds.Fire crews battle the Highland Fire in Aguanga, California. One Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Aggie CircleEL PASO, TX (October 31, 2023) – A pedestrian collision occurred on Villa Milagro Street Thursday night, resulting in injuries to one individual.First responders arrived at the scene near Aggie Circle at approximately 1:15 p.m. on October 1st.The circumstances leading to the accident are unclear. However, reports suggest that law enforcement received multiple calls concerning a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian.Upon arrival, crews discovered both a motorcycle and a pickup-truck at the scene. On Tuesday, groups of therapy animals and their handlers paraded through Terminals A and B at San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) decked out in Halloween costumes. The group of mostly therapy dogs, and one rabbit name Alex the Great, welcomed passengers as they passed various gates receiving lots of smiles, selfies, and pats on the head.According to their website, The Happy Tails Program, formerly known as SJC’s Therapy Animal Program, began after the tragic events of 9/11.  Interfaith Chaplain and Volunteer Kathryn Liebschutz began bringing her Boxer/Great Dane mixed dog Orion, who was trained as a rescue/therapy dog, to the San Jose Mineta International Airport to address the anxieties of travelers and to bring comfort. Petaluma woman accused of using $150K of company funds on DoorDash, Amazon, other personal expenses

(KRON) -- A Petaluma woman has been arrested on suspicion of embezzlement after she allegedly used more than $150,000 of company funds on personal expenses such as DoorDash and Amazon, the Santa Rosa Police Department said Tuesday.The company in question is a landscape design and construction company in Santa Rosa. Los Gatos ‘party mom’ charged with hosting alcohol parties for teens, encouraging sexual assault SRPD was notified of the case in July when the company hired a new bookkeeper who "noticed irregularities in the company's financial records," police said. A further look revealed several unauthorized credit card transactions. An SRPD investigations team served search warrants for businesses and financial institution records. The investigation revealed that the suspect was the company's previous bookkeeper, Jennifer Sutton, 48. Police suspect Sutton made the fraudulent charges over a five-year period. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The owner of a San Francisco ice cream shop that was vandalized with pro-Palestinian graffiti last week said the incident is being investigated as a hate crime. Smitten Ice Cream in SF's Mission District was vandalized and graffitied last Wednesday.The front windows of the shop were shattered and the shop was vandalized for "unknown reasons," the San Francisco Police Department said at the time.
