Police pursue domestic violence suspect in 35-foot RV in Los Angeles

Police officers were in pursuit of a large RV driven by a domestic violence suspect in Los Angeles early Monday morning.According to preliminary information from the Los Angeles Police Department, the domestic violence call was placed at 4:10 a.m. by a woman onboard the RV at an Arco gas station located at La Tijera Boulevard near 83rd Street.When LAPD officers went to conduct the initial traffic stop, the RV failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. Violent crash on 405 Freeway in Long Beach snarls traffic on major interchange

A crash involving multiple vehicles made the Monday morning commute through Long Beach a nightmare, and it’s not only one major route that is affected. The collision occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on the northbound side of the 405 Freeway at the transition with the 710 Freeway.  Police in pursuit of 35-foot RV in Los Angeles Footage from Sky5 shows debris spread across the roadway, with one SUV smashed into the right embankment towards the end of the 710 on-ramp to the 405. The SUV had swerved across all the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway before colliding with the embankment, KTLA 5’s Rich Prickett said. A crash involving multiple vehicles made the morning commute through Long Beach a nightmare on Nov. 6, 2023. Inside the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a crowd has gathered around the otter exhibit, watching the animals do somersaults in the water and paddle on their backs while clutching toys.“Aren’t they fun?” one woman asks her companion. “Bonk,” a pint-sized spectator says, as one otter bumps heads with another. “Bonk, bonk.”But upstairs, past locked doors and an office marked SORAC — Sea Otter Research and Conservation — a different kind of otter action is happening. Aquarium staffers use nets to wrangle three otters from a tank into plastic kennels, so they can remove mussel shells and other food debris from their enclosure. Santa Clara County now files the second-most proactive gun-violence restraining orders in the state each year: Local authorities intervene on average more than once per day in cases involving people known to be armed and actively threatening themselves and others.Prosecutors say the county has steadily increased its output of such orders since the onset of a corresponding red flag law in 2016, going from seven filings that year to 405 in 2022.
