Police: 2 dead in Miami Gardens shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that left two people dead in Miami Gardens, authorities said.Miami Gardens Police responded to a distress call just after 2:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of NW 185th Street. Upon arrival, police found an adult male and female, both suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced deceased at the scene.According to authorities, two juvenile siblings returned home to discover their mother and her boyfriend unresponsive inside the residence. State alert for missing 9-year-old boy in Cocoa cancelled, child found safe

COCOA, Fla. (WSVN) – A Florida Missing Child Alert has been cancelled for a 9-year-old boy. Josiah Sanders was last seen Tuesday in the area of the 1000th block of West King Street in Cocoa, Florida, wearing a teal school uniform polo with a yellow logo on the left side and khaki shorts or pants as seen in the image below. The boy stands at 5 feet tall, has black hair and brown eyes, and weighs about 100 lbs. Sanders is known to have a gap between his two front teeth.Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of this boy is urged to contact FDLE or the Cocoa Police Department at 321-639-7621 or 911.

Surveillance video at MIA captures 2 TSA officers accused of stealing from passengers

Newly released video from Miami International Airport captured two Transportation Security Administration officers going through passenger’s belongings.The two officers, Labarrius Williams and Joaue Gonzalez, were arrested in July. According to investigators, the officers were involved in their scheme for months. During one incident, the pair stole around $600 in cash.One of the officers confessed to police about their crimes.From the footage, the two were seen stealing from passengers as they went through airport security at MIA’s Terminal E. In one clip, Gonzalez was seen fidgeting with a passenger’s bag as he appeared to attempt to open the bag’s zipper. He then follows the bag down the conveyor belt. Moments later, Gonzalez put his hands in his pocket. In another clip, the pair were seen side by side as they focused on a bin. Schools closed again Wednesday after ‘catastrophic’ flooding in Leominster

Some residents in Leominster were asked to evacuate Tuesday morning after authorities came across a “potential issue” involving a nearby dam – one that could endanger the area as surging rains and flood waters inundated the area.“Due to a potential issue at the Barrett Park Pond Dam, persons in low-lying areas of the Fall Brook tributary to Fall Brook along Central St, Fall Brook & the North Nashua River, should evacuate & safely leave the area. NEW YORK  — After months of testing, TikTok is fully launching its e-commerce product in the U.S. in an effort to translate the app’s cultural relevance among young consumers to sales.The company said Tuesday its shopping wing, called TikTok Shop, will include several features such as a “Shop Tab,” a marketplace its been testing on the app since August; affiliate videos in user’s feed that allows creators to earn commissions from products; as well as a logistics arm called Fulfilled by TikTok that stores and ships products for merchants.Currently, TikTok spokesperson Laura Perez said more than 200,000 sellers have registered for TikTok Shop. NEW YORK  — Say goodbye to refilling that Coke. McDonald’s is getting rid of self-served soda.The Chicago-based fast food chain plans to eliminate self-service soda machines at its U.S. restaurants by 2032, McDonald’s confirmed this week. It’s unclear if locations outside the U.S. will follow suit.In an email Tuesday, McDonald’s USA said the goal of the change is to create consistency for customers and crew members across the chain’s offerings — from in-person dining to online delivery and drive-thru options.The company did not specify if any additional factors — such as finances or sanitation — impacted the decision to part ways with its self-serve machines.
