(AP) — North Carolina is rolling into Saturday night’s game against Miami with confidence, with the 12th-ranked Tar Heels coming off their most complete performance of the season so far. The 25th-ranked Hurricanes are ready to play, too, just to move past a jaw-dropping loss.The game was nearly a matchup of unbeaten teams before Miami (4-1, 0-1 ACC) lost to Georgia Tech after an improbable sequence of events. (AP) — Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton is moving closer to returning to the field.The Jaguars designated Hamilton to return from injured reserve Thursday, opening a 21-day window for him to rejoin the active roster. Hamilton is expected back after the team’s Week 9 bye.Hamilton has been sidelined since training camp because of a back infection that was causing pain and discomfort. 12-year-old charged with attempted murder in alleged bias-motivated stabbing

DENVER (KDVR) -- A 12-year-old accused of stabbing a classmate at a school in Denver last week is now charged with attempted murder and bias-motivated crime.The victim's father said he was told the 12-year-old Hispanic suspect stabbed the 12-year-old victim, a Black student, at least in part because of his race. The father behind the iconic costume was Broncos super fan Kerry Green, who passed away a few hours before kickoff on Sunday. Green was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who passed down his love of the Broncos through generations. He was a 2nd generation ticket holder with tickets that ran in the family since 1965. Winners announced for 2023 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway For 15 years, he showed up with his son dressed in an orange pom pom costume to every Broncos home game.
