Gilroy police arrest one in connection to arson, robbery

(KRON) -- A man has been arrested in connection to a fire set at a Gilroy business, the Gilroy Police Department announced on Saturday. 2 adults, 6 children rescued from the water near Oracle Park On Friday afternoon around 4 p.m., officers arrested a suspect named Chase Harlow, 26, of Gilroy, in connection to a fire set at a business on First Street. Officers found Harlow and reported they were able to find evidence tying him to the investigation. He is also facing charges in connection to a robbery that happened at a business on San Ysidro Avenue, police said. GPD is still searching for another suspect who set fires to multiple dumpsters in apartment complexes across the city. (AP) — Brendon Todd scrambled for par on the par-4 18th to take a one-stroke lead Saturday in the John Deere Classic, holing a 12-foot putt after drawing an awkward stance near a fairway bunker.Todd had a 5-under 66 in breezy conditions to reach 16-under 197 at TPC Deere Run. The three-time PGA Tour winner drove close to the left fairway bunker on 18, forcing him to hit with his left foot in grass and his right foot well below in the sand. MIAMI (AP) — Phillies slugger Bryce Harper was struck on his surgically repaired right elbow by a pitch from Marlins starter Braxton Garrett in the third inning against Miami on Saturday, forcing him to leave the game after the inning concluded.Harper got attention from a team trainer for a couple of minutes before heading to first. Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen needs a third elbow surgery

PETERSBURG, Fla, (AP) — Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen needs a third elbow surgery.Rasmussen’s surgery is scheduled for July 24, and the procedure will be done by Dr. Keith Meister, Rays manager Kevin Cash said before Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Braves.“Unfortunately, he’s going to miss the rest of the year,” Cash said. “He will get what they’re calling the brace put in.
